Classic elements of powerful Paso Robles Syrah are evident here. The nose shows boysenberry paste, black pepper, wet rock and light mesquite aromas. The palate is approachable and easily enjoyed, blending roasted red and purple fruit flavors with oaky spice and pie crust. It's a great barbecue wine. — Matt Kettmann
